“Deep garnet with a bright ruby rim. The nose is classic yet vibrant, offering intense cassis, blackcurrant and mulberry fruit laced with Coonawarra signatures of dried mint, bay leaf, graphite and subtle dark chocolate. There’s impressive purity and focus, with the 2022 vintage delivering freshness and aromatic lift.
The palate is seductive; medium to full-bodied with exceptional density and drive. Cascading layers of blackcurrant, plum and red cherry are framed by fine, chalky tannins and precise acidity. Cedar, graphite and savoury spice notes build complexity through the mid-palate, while the finish is long and impeccably balanced. This is a standout Coonawarra Cabernet: regal, age-worthy and already drinking beautifully.”

“Another in the Nightfall series from this highly regarded Coonawarra vintage. This is a bit special. Very dark maroon with a magenta rim, the nose gives us aromas weaving through tobacco leaves, mocha, aniseed, plums, chocolate, coffee beans, charcuterie and cassis. The oak integration is perfectly handled and there is a flick of vanilla contributing. Abundant powdery tannins are found on the very long finish. The wine is concentrated and well balanced and really does have serious length. A wine for the long haul. We see cocoa powder really take to the fore on the palate. It will provide enormous pleasure over the next twenty years.”

“Wonderfully fruited and fragrant, showing cassis, violet, clove, thyme, and assorted nut aromas, leading to a concentrated palate that’s weighty and fleshy. It’s gorgeously styled and expressed with a rich texture and layers of fine tannins, making it splendidly structured with a persistent, sturdy finish. At its best: now to 2037.”
